Most broadly, my interests center on the behavior, ecology, and evolution of nonhuman primates and what they can tell us about human biology, evolution, and behavior. More specifically, I am interested in the social behavior and ecology of cercopithecoid (Old World) monkeys. My research so far has focused mainly on hamadryas baboons in Ethiopia, and I am currently broadening my research to include chacma baboons of the Western Cape Peninsula of South Africa. Teaching & Research Focus:
  • Biological Anthropology
  • Primatology
  • Primate Ecology and Behavior
  • Reproductive Strategies
  • Baboons
