Research Opportunities
Most BRU research takes the form of B.Sc. Honours, M.Sc., or Ph.D. projects at the University of Cape Town. Such projects may be carried out under the primary supervision of Dr Justin O'Riain in the Department of Zoology; Dr Becky Ackermann in the Department of Archaeology; or Dr Larissa Swedell, a Fulbright scholar at UCT. Projects may also be supervised by other BRU personnel, either as part of post-graduate training or as volunteer research.
For information about BRU research as related to graduate study at the University of Cape Town, please contact Dr Justin O'Riain in the UCT Department of Zoology or Dr Becky Ackermann in the UCT Department of Archaeology.
For information about BRU research as related to graduate study at the City University of New York, please contact Dr Larissa Swedell.
Volunteer Positions
We often have openings for research volunteers. To learn more about volunteer opportunities with the Cape Peninsula Baboon Research Unit, please contact the relevant project personnel listed on the project pages. We will also post volunteer opportunities on this site when they are available.
